Throughout the months of March and April, we will be exploring the following exciting topics: Spring, the farm and Easter!
We are looking forward to exploring the new season of Spring; observing new flowers growing outdoors, reading and learning about new animals being born, as well as hopefully enjoying some warmer and drier weather outdoors!
In addition to all of this, we will be learning about the farm through our play and community time learning; naming different farm animals and talking about their bodies/features, learning about the different products they give us, as well as learn more about tractors and other farm machinery.
We will also be taking part in various fun Easter art, craft and baking activities!
In Nursery we look forward to celebrating World Book Day by each bringing in our favourite story book. We will be having a visit from one of our Primary 7 classes and the pupils will read books to our Nursery children!
For March and April, our focus shape is oval and our focus colours are green and purple! Please encourage your child to go on a shape and colour hunt around your house and outdoors. Can they spot any green objects/purple objects/oval shaped objects?
We will also be providing lots of opportunities to develop our fine and gross motor skills both indoors and outdoors.
For World Book Day, we all brought in our favourite story book! During Community Time we each waited our turn to show and talk about our favourite story book.
We enjoyed having a visit from Primary 7 pupils who read our story books to us and they also read us books they had brought to us too!
