Nursery 3 visit Lurgan Park for an Autumn Walk

On Friday 20th October we set off on our Autumn walk to Lurgan Park. We wrapped up warm by putting on our coats, scarves and hats and changing in to our waterproof wellies. We all were very excited to spot some signs of Autumn!

First, we spotted an oak tree where we collected lots of leaves and acorns. Next, we visited two very large chestnut trees where we gathered lots and lots of brown shiny conkers and big leaves. We also collected Autumn leaves that had changed colour and fallen off the trees; red, orange, yellow and brown leaves (just like in our Autumn Leaves song)! We are looking forward to using these leaves in class next week for some art activities and putting the acorns and conkers on our Autumn displays.

Thank you to our parent helpers who assisted us on our Autumn walk. We hope you enjoyed it as much as we did!
