Congratulations to King’s Park Girls’ cross country team who are the Northern Ireland Champions for the second year in a row. Having comfortably won the Southern Area League, they were hoping for a good showing at Mallusk. They found it hard going over the 1400m course but a strong team effort saw them into first place.
The King’s Park Girls were always under pressure from the start having to follow the Boys’ team who had won the title Northern Ireland for the previous two years. They did so and claimed their own spot of glory with back to back titles.
Best placed girls were Kate Holmes (P7) who was narrowly pipped into 3rd place and Ellie Cousins (P6) who was 11th.
