A simile is used in writing to compare an adjective to a noun, to help describe it. We use these in our everyday conversation. The class were “ as busy as bees”. The girl was “ as quiet as a mouse.” They can be used in sentences -for example: The thief was as sly as a fox, and he tricked the man. The boys stood up to the bully, and they felt as brave as a lion.

This short clip will help with the animal similes in A. It mentions “as hungry as a horse”, what would be another good answer for number 7?
