Subtraction! You will need a pencil and a piece of paper.

 

G1- Level 5- 5 digit numbers try it on 20 seconds if it is too fast set it to manual.

G2- Level 4- 4 digit numbers try it on 20 seconds if it is too fast set it to manual.

G3- Level 3- Decomposition try it on 20 seconds if it is too fast set it to manual.

G4- Level 2- Subtraction of 2- digit numbers. Try it on 10 seconds.

Mental Maths

Angles

Play these angle games; it will help with your reading of the protractor. Make sure you select the right angles and then every group should select to show the protractor. Just be careful when you are reading the angle on the protractor, as sometimes it changes where 0 degrees is with to begin with.

 

G1/2- Up to 360

Measuring shapes

Today you are going to create whatever shapes you like and measure the angles on these shapes; you can also measure the length of the sides using the ruler. Try to see what happens if one side gets longer/shorter what happens to the angle. These shapes can be regular or irregular it is your choice.

Mental Maths

For the symmetry game it gets harder as it goes along, Make sure you take your time. For the symmetry matching you can choose either of the 3 matching games to play, you will then select which you think is symmetrical to the one provided for you on the left hand side of your screen.

A NOTE FOR THIS WEEK: The writing task this week is to conduct and write a film review. Children should prepare by watching a film of their choice before Thursday. They may want to take some notes during the film, this will ensure they are fully prepared for writing on Thursday.

Literacy – Writing Task – Film Review  

 

Your task for today is to write a film review for a film of your choice. Click here and go through the instructions carefully for further information. This task should be completed into your literacy book (please ensure that children give their work a date and a title)

World Around Us: Living Things  (continued)

 

Produce a Fact File of two pages (A4) size on a living creature.

This can be carried out directly on computer or information can be cut and stuck unto separate pages.

 

The Fact File should include:

Name of animal/creature

  • Classification (vertebrate/invertebrate) and (reptile, bird, fish, amphibian, mammal)
  • Characteristics/ features e.g. appearance, behaviour
  • Habitat
  • Position on the food chain and diet
  • Life cycle
  • Photos/ labelled diagram

Any other points you feel are of interest. Please note your Fact File should be submitted on this Wednesday 24th February. A portfolio will be made available in Class Dojo for that time.
