Nursery and Primary 1 Admission Information
Thank you for considering King’s Park Primary and Nursery School and trusting us with your child's education. Information to assist you with the application process for admission to our school is provided below. We hope you find it useful, and look forward to working with you and your child.
Prospective parents are very welcome to make an appointment to visit school to view our excellent facilities and resources first hand and are welcome to speak directly with Miss Brown.
Our Nursery Open Afternoon for Parents/Carers will be on Thursday 12th January from 1.30pm-3.30pm. You are very welcome to come and see all that our Nursery has to offer your child and to meet the teachers and staff.
Applications for Nursery and P1 for September 2023 are open from noon on 10th January to noon on Friday 27th January 2023.

Information on how to apply and the published admissions criteria of pre-schools/schools for the school year September 2023 – June 2024 will be available as follows:
- 13 December 2022 – Pre-School / Primary 1
- 12 January 2023 – Post Primary Schools
- 10 March 2023 – Junior/Senior High Schools (14+ Dickson Plan)

Admissions criteria will be published on Friday 17 December 2021.
Online applications will open at 12noon on Monday 10 January 2022 and will close at 12noon on Friday 28 January 2022.
Please contact the school office on 028 3832 2450 if you would like a school prospectus to be sent to you in the post.

Outcome of Application for Pre-School and Primary One
The date for notification of placements for Pre-School Stage 1 and Primary One Admissions is Wednesday 28 April.
Parent/Carers who applied online can log on to the Citizen Portal on 28 April to find out the outcome and information will be available on the Education Authority website to advise how to access the Citizen Portal.
We will also be notifying parent/carers by post on 28 April 2021.

Please remember the deadline for applications is 12 noon on January 29th.
If your child currently attends King's Park Nursery and you are applying for a Primary One place in King's Park you do not need to upload a copy of your child's birth certificate to the parent portal.
If you wish to receive a copy of either the Nursery or Primary One prospectus please contact the school office on 028 3832 2450 and this can be arranged.

The closing date for receipt of applications for children starting Nursery and Primary One in September 2021 is 12 noon on 29th January 2021.
Application must be completed online and the procedure opens on Thursday 7th January 2021 at 12 noon.
All applications must be submitted online at www.eani.org.uk were a link will be found on the homepage.

NOTIFICATION OF PLACEMENTS FOR THE ABOVE
Given the uncertainty of the current situation, the Education Authority has made arrangements to prepare and issue notification of placement letters for P1 and Nursery (target age Stage 1) to parents for receipt on 29 April 2020. As some post may take longer to deliver than usual, the Citizen Portal will be opened on Wednesday 29 April and parents/guardians who have applied online can log in to view their child's Nursery (target age Stage 1) and Primary One placements. Guidance on how to log in and access placement offers will be accessible on the Education Authority website. (www.eani.org.uk)
King's Park Primary & Nursery School have also issued placement letters as normal.
On receiving your letter from the school please read your letter carefully and any other enclosed documents and send your acceptance along with other completed paperwork via email to mwells604@c2kni.net
