Pumpkin Art: We looked at lots of different autumnal colours to create a background using watercolours. We then experimented with lots of patterns using blank ink pins. We drew pumpkins and painted them with watercolour, then finished them off with an outline and some patterns.
September
Florence Nightingale Visits P5B! We have been learning about the history of Florence Nightingale. We had a lovely visit from ‘The Lady with the Lamp’. She came to tell us all about her life and how she changed hospitals. We got to ask lots of questions which helped us with our writing activity in Literacy.
Experimenting with Shadows: We have been reading The Iron Man novel and we have also been learning about shadows as part of our WAU topic. We made models of Iron Man and used torches to create different sizes of shadows. We then drew the shadows.
