Leon predicted rain Lurgan ☔️☔️☔️

Weather - As part of our weather topic we made rain gauges.

School in the past - We enjoyed pretending to go to school in the 1900s. Miss Anderson was very strict!

We had a visit from a very clever lady who is a neuro researcher. That means she knows lots about the brain. We learnt about the parts of the brain and how they work. We loved getting to look at the squidgy brain and take it apart. We also discovered how synapses and neurones work.

World Around Us

Ourselves

We have been talking about our families, looking at the globe to see everyone's holiday destinations, studying our eyes in detail and thinking about how we can protect them, the story of Louis Braille and how our taste buds work.

We loved our visit from Jill Hanna and Katie (the dog). They are from the 'Guide Dogs for the Blind Association'. Every class had the opportunity to meet Jill and Katie and ask lots of questions about life with a guide dog.

Making a healthy sandwich

We have been learning about instructions and how they are written. To help with this every class was allowed to make their own healthy sandwiches and of course eat them!

The children had to choose their own fillings and the best way to make the perfect sandwich.smiley
