Week Four
Photo Challenge: Filters
For this photo challenge your task is to make filters out of see-through items you find around your home, like sweet wrappers or plastic bottles. It's fun to add effects after you've taken a photo but today we're going to look at how to add filters as you go along.
A filter is something you look through that changes what you see. You can put filters in front of the camera lens to change your photos. It might make you change how you feel about what you see in front of you.
This week’s theme is ‘My hero’. We would like the children to choose someone in their family and/or community that they look up to and would consider to be a hero (not a celebrity/YouTube/movie star but a local hero) and make a card or create some artwork to give or send to that person.
A photo of the artwork should be sent to kpmessagesofhope@gmail.com
Leonora Carrington was a surrealist artist who created paintings and drawings based on her dreams, memories and imagination. Surrealists often put strange, unlikely objects or animals together to create weird made-up characters.
In this game you pick cards representing an object, an animal or a plant and create a made-up character by drawing a combination of what you have picked!
1. Click the "surreal collage" pdf and cut out the cards.
2. Mix them up and choose three at random.
3. Draw your surreal art!
4. Pick more cards - can you create something really individual?
