Sports day 2026! We had a great time in the sunshine doing our races and activities but our favourite part was the ice cream.

As part of our Traditional tale topic we have been testing our building skills to see which houses would keep the three little pigs safe. We worked in teams to plan, build and evaluate our houses and had fun using the big bad wolf hairdryer to test their strength.
Outdoor learning! P2P have been enjoying the dry weather and taking our learning outside as much as we can. We went out to our P2 garden to learn about growing different fruits and vegetables as well as taking a trip to look at Brownlow castle from the park. We then came back to class and talked about some interesting features and looked at it from a map!
Practical maths- we have been exploring weighing objects and balancing scales. We ordered objects from the classroom from lightest to heaviest.
Mad Hair Day! We had so much fun celebrating our chosen charities and raising money for a good cause!
We have started our new topic of ‘Traditional Tales’ in P2. The children have enjoyed exploring different stories so far and have been taking their learning and imagination into play. We have also planted our beanstalks and have been designing castles. More photos to come !

Celebrating 90 years of KPS! We had such a fun day today celebrating our school! We had outdoor play, donuts for snack, a disco in the hall and inflatable football. What a fun day in the sunshine !
World book day! We loved exploring our mystery bags and doing paired reading with our lovely P5 helpers!
Children’s mental health week has been a lovely chance to explore our emotions and what makes us smile. We rounded the week off with a movie and hot chocolate. What a wonderful end to a Friday!
P2P has been having fun making pancakes today! We enjoyed watching the batter turn from liquid to solid and discussing what makes that change happen. Our favourite part has to be eating them though with yummy toppings!
P2 have been working hard with our healthy eating and teeth topic! We have enjoyed recounting and retelling stories and learning new ways to keep us fit and healthy. We also enjoyed doing our egg experiment where we observed the impact of drinking too many sugary drinks on our teeth!

Miss Palmer’s class turned into Santa’s grotto this week! The children had fun making toys, wrapping presents to post them and making decorations for the North Pole.

P2P has been enjoying exploring the computer suite the last few weeks. We have been working hard on our keyboard and mouse skills!
We had so much fun getting a visit for Gary from CoreKids! Such a great way to start the day with a fun dance and mini workout!
We have been exploring lots of maths concepts such as patterns, shape, measuring and finding missing numbers. Using hands on, practical activities to make learning fun!
