🛍️📖World Book Day Mystery Bag Activity🛍️📖
🛍️To celebrate World Book Day on Thursday 5th March we will be taking part in a fun and engaging 'Mystery Bag' activity designed to develop the children’s comprehension, speaking, and inference skills.
❓Children should select their favourite or a familiar story and choose 2-4 items that will act as clues to what their story is. The aim is for the objects to represent important characters, settings, or events from the story. The children will present their mystery bag to the class who will try to guess the story using the clues.
Your child will bring home a bag on Monday to use for this and they will have until Thursday 5th to complete the activity. Children may also decorate the bag if they wish.
Instructions:
1.Choose a favourite or familiar story.
2.Select 2–4 small objects that give clues about the story.
3.Place the objects inside the bag.
4. Please send in to school on the 5th March.
Please ensure items are small, safe, and not valuable, as they will be handled in class. The items can also include drawings/pictures.
Examples:
🧸Goldilocks and the Three Bears🧸
Bowl, spoon, small teddy bear
🐭The Gruffalo🐭
