IMPORTANT: RE AFTER SCHOOL CLUBS FOR P5-P7 DUE TO START MONDAY 28TH SEPTEMBER
Dear Parent/Carer,
I write to inform you that as you may have seen in the media, Teaching Unions have voted to take action short of strike due to the continued workload and the lack of agreement with DE regarding this.
The teaching staff have carefully considered the areas for action as directed by their unions and have decided to follow the directives as advised.
I wish to point out that the Governors and myself are fully supportive of the staff and are mindful of the vastly increased workload over the past years.
This means that the afterschool clubs due to start on Monday will be affected.
Next week from Monday 28th September to Friday 2nd October the only clubs that will be taking place are:
Monday – no clubs
Tuesday – Film Club for P6 pupils and Dance with Sports City
Wednesday – Girls’ Football
Thursday – Film Club for P7
Friday – Extreme Multi Sports
Please note: These clubs above are only for children who had already signed up for them. We will confirm on Monday if pupils have been given their place in the clubs listed above.
We will try to organise a small number of additional afterschool clubs from the week beginning
5th October onwards for 5 weeks and will send out information about this early next week.
We apologise for any inconvenience this may cause.
