National Futsal Finals
On Monday the 3rd of April the boys football team travelled to Lisburn to compete in this years national futsal finals. The boys won the ABC area competition (report below) and were awarded with a place in the finals.
The finals consisted of two groups, our results were as follows:
KPS 4 - 0 Good Shepherd
KPS 3 - 1 St Bernard's
KPS 2 - 0 Downshire
KPS 3 - 1 Greystone
This meant that KPS progressed as the only undefeated group winners.
In the semifinal KPS met Holly Bush. The boys played superbly but were repeatedly denied by some excellent goalkeeping. The game ended 0-0 and penalties were on the agenda. After 3 penalties, each team had scored 1 goal, unfortunately our fourth and final penalty was saved which meant that Holly Bush won after converting their fourth.
Another proud display from the boys who represented themselves very well against some tough opposition.
