November

This month in Nursery we will be exploring the theme of Wild Animals. We will be learning about animals that live in the jungle and in the zoo through our play and in our Community Time learning. We will learn their names and talk about their bodies; the colours on their coats, if they have patterns or special markings, as well as learn about where they live and what they like to eat. We hope to enjoy listening to stories about animals and sing lots of songs about animals too!

Through our play activities, we will also be developing our pre-writing skills, scissor skills, counting skills, as well as naming shapes and colours! We will also be learning to share and take turns through small group games and activities!

Outdoors, we will be continuing to develop the skill of pedalling, as well as learning to independently put on and take off our coats! We will also be developing the skill of ascending the slide steps using alternate feet and descending the slide confidently.

We all enjoyed our first visit to the MUGA pitch!

We all enjoyed our first visit to the MUGA pitch!
All of the boys and girls walked very well in the line from Nursery to the MUGA pitch and enjoyed participating in ‘warm up’ and ‘cool down’ exercises and stretches, playing the ‘bean game’ and taking part in running races!

We celebrated Odd Socks Day in Nursery as part of Anti-Bullying Week!

As part of Anti-Bullying week we have been talking about how we are all different but very, very special! We are all unique!
