  • Sustrans

    Thu 08 Nov 2018

This year we are taking part in the Sustrans programme. The programme encourages children to walk, scoot or cycle to school rather than always travelling by car. Some of our Primary 6 children have been developing their cycling skills with trainers from the Sustrans programme. As you can see they had lots of fun.

  • Busy Friday

    Fri 26 Oct 2018

On Friday 26th October we all came to school dressed very brightly to raise awareness of being safe and being seen now that the darker evening are upon us. All the children made a huge effort. We also tried to come to school in a more sustainable way such as walking, scooting or cycling.

We also welcomed the Tharpes back to our school again!  Marty and his musical family provide the children with the opportunity to join in with their praise singing and it is a very enjoyable experience for all!

  • DITCH THE DARK DAY!

    Tue 09 Oct 2018

Ditch The Dark Day on Friday 26th October. Children are asked to come to school in bright coloured clothes as we highlight the need to be visible in the darker mornings and evenings. Children do not need to bring any money in to participate. Hopefully everyone will come to school dressed in their brightest clothes smiley

  • Cross Country race 1

    Sun 07 Oct 2018 KM

Round 1 of the Flahavans' Primary Southern Area league began on Friday. It was a beautiful Autumn Morning in Lurgan Park and as usual the competition was well represented with approximately 400 children from 15 schools competing.

King's Park girls' team have continued from where they left off last year by smashing their race. Ellie Cousins won the race by a fair margin. Leah Balfour came 3rd, Nicole Penny 4th and Victoria Alexander 5th. And astounding total of 13 points puts them well out in front at this stage of the competition.

Girls also had success in the fun run which was won by our own Alex Kerr. Casey Cousins in her first competitive schools race came 3rd

The boys while not as strong as previous seasons, gave a good account of themselves came second in their section, and are sitting in third place overall at this stage.
