Managing Anxiety in Primary School!

While it is normal for all children to have worries and fears, for some, these can start to affect their day-to-day lives. Anxiety can be triggered by both big life changes and by smaller daily pressures, so it's important to keep an eye out for any signs that they may be struggling. Here are some tips for managing your child's anxiety.

 

  1. Understand and talk about how your child is feeling
  2. Acknowledge their feelings
  3. Write down their worries
  4. Read a story about being worried 
  5. Draw a picture
  6. Listen to songs
