Sorting by Colour!
Children in nursery need to use and understand the mathematical concept of sorting items by colour. As part of your child’s Nursery home learning pack, you will have different coloured paper. You can use this paper to help your child sort objects from around your home. Other play based ideas for sorting by colour could include sorting duplo into coloured boxes and sorting pompoms into coloured cups or bun cases. You can use tweezers or the pincer grasp to aid your child’s fine motor development.
