Mathematical Language
Language- On and Off
Children in nursery need to use and understand the mathematical language of on and off. This could be displayed through a variety of play ideas using a selection of toys e.g. “Can you put the teddy bear on the television?” or through every day instructions. These every day instructions include, “Can you put your coat on before we go outside?”, “Can you take the toy off the kitchen table before dinner?” or “Can you turn the light on/off?”
