Story time!
In Nursery, as part of our World Around Us area of learning, we discuss road safety with the children each week. Please use this photo of the calendar to discuss the importance of wearing a helmet when they are on their bikes, scooters or flickers etc and explain the need to cross a road using a zebra crossing. We hope you enjoy this.
We have taken photographs of a Big Book called Look Out On The Road which we would have been reading to them. Please enjoy reading this with your child and discuss the relevant aspects of road safety with them. We hope all of the nursery children have been enjoying the lovely weather we have been having. Please stay safe over the coming weeks.
We have taken photographs of a book called One Mole Digging a Hole. This beautiful book explores numbers 1-10 in a bright, colourful and fun way. This book offers many opportunities to develop early maths skills in a fun and interactive way. You can encourage your child to count the characters to develop their touch counting skills. Your child can trace the numerals with their finger. You could also play Find the Number, where you ask them to find number 4, for example and they have to find it. We hope you enjoy exploring numerals with your child with this story.
