Welcome to King's Park Nursery and to Nursery 3!

We are looking forward to meeting all of the boys and girls throughout this month!

We will be helping them settle in to Nursery and getting to know them throughout this settling in period.

We will also be teaching the children our Nursery routines; snack, toilet, tidy up, art, water and Quiet Room time.

Our topic this month is 'All About Me'.

Our colour and shape focus this month is yellow and circle.  Why not enjoy a colour or shape walk or hunt with your child? Can they name and identify any yellow and circle objects?

We are all settling in well to Nursery 3!

We are looking forward to meeting more new friends every week!

We are learning about our bodies in Nursery.

We enjoyed making our handprints with paint. We talked about our hands; we counted our fingers and talked about how we can use our hands to be kind and helpful at Nursery and at home.

We also enjoyed looking at our faces in mirrors. We drew and painted pictures of our faces. We even made faces using paper plates, pom poms, foam shapes, wool and coloured sticks.

During Community Time, we have been having lots of fun learning different action songs and rhymes about our bodies to help us name our different body parts, such as, ‘Head, Shoulders, Knees and Toes’!

We are enjoying snack time in Nursery!

Snack time is a great opportunity in Nursery to talk to our new friends, as well as try new foods!

We are learning to be independent and follow a special snack routine: first, we wash our hands, then we post our symbol, lift our cup, pour our drinks, select the foods we would like to eat, eat and drink, then put our cup in the snack box!

We are learning to name and recognise the shape, circle ⭕️

We are learning through our play, both indoors and outdoors!
