Group 1+/1/2 – reminder page, approximate area of irregular shapes, using multiplication On pg2 ignore their explanation – count the squares which are half or more as one whole. When measuring the rectangles – the lengths will vary according to printing – round each length to the nearest 1cm.

 

Group 3-4 – comparison of area, counting squares & half squares This time – you need to add the half squares together to make whole squares.
