Welcome to latest news
World Book Day is next week, Thursday 3rd March 2022, and we are holding a fun competition to celebrate books and promote a love of reading.
All you need to do is take a photograph of your child reading in an interesting place- the more unusual the better! Then send it to your child's teacher on DoJo. These pictures will be shared with the rest of the class on World Book Day.
We also hope all children will bring their favourite book into school on Thursday to show to their friends. They will get a chance to share what it is about and say why they like it.
On Tuesday 22nd February the Nursery had a visit from the PSNI.
Each child had the opportunity to listen to an important story, look at the police uniform and learn about the important job the police do.
The children had great fun dressing up in the police uniform and some wanted to try on hand cuffs and get into the police car. The Nursery staff also dressed up and Miss Brown even tried on the hand cuffs!
It was great fun. Many thanks to Lurgan PSNI.
Here are some suggestions you can do during Children's Mental Health Week.
Primary 3 children had a visit from the PSNI to talk about Road Safety and Stranger Danger. The children were reminded to Stop, Look and Listen, wear a cycle helmet when on their bicycle and should be 135 cm before they can stop using a booster seat in the car. They were also reminded about keeping themselves safe. The school was presented with two road safety signs, Luke Listen and Anita Stop! Please look out for these on the road. The children were each given a high viz vest and other goodies to remind them of their safety talk.
