    Artwork Competition for King’s Park 2017 Christmas Card

    The Christmas Card Competition was won by Marcela Machnik (P1EH). Second Place went to both Isaac Irwin (P7KM) and Lauren Crawford (P5KW) and runners up were Daisy Jess (P2LM), Carson Stewart (P3JC), Lauren Megaw (P4NT) and Leah Heasley (P6SF).

    Artwork Competition for Carol Service Programme

    The Carol Service artwork competition was won by Alicia Brown (P5KW). Other artwork for the programme was done by Tilly Douglas (P6AS) and Sarah Hamilton (P6AS).

    Poetry Competition for Carol Service

    The winners of the Poetry Competition are: Lauren Crawford (P5KW), Carly Fong (P6AS), Lauren Megaw (P4NT), Olivia Heasley (P4SF), Leah Balfour (P5SS), Grace McNeill (P5DK), Grace Cochrane (P6AS), Madison Young (P4NT) and Jessica Ramsey (P4SF).

    Supporting King’s Park – Calendar

    Well done to all of our children who designed a calendar over the last few weeks. A winner from each Nursery, Foundation, Key Stage 1 and Key Stage 2 was selected and these children have received a prize of a Chocolate Santa. They were: Nursery – Freya Stewart (NLB); Foundation – Lydia Devlin (P2LMcB); Key Stage 1- Abi Cherry (P4SF) and Key Stage 2 – Grace McNeill (P5DK). Thank you again to the Supporting King’s Park Group for organising the sale of the calendars this year. To date £525.00 has been collected from the sale of the 2018 calendar.

  • GLENAVON FOOTBALL CLUB COMPETITION

    **EXCITING COMPETITION!!**
    WOULD YOU LIKE TO BE A MASCOT FOR GLENAVON FOOTBALL CLUB?

     

    Glenavon Football Club are looking for local primary school children to lead the team out on Boxing Day at their home game against Warrenpoint Town. There are 11 places up for grabs!
    The children have to design a new club mascot for Glenavon FC.
    The top 8 designs from local primary schools (4 from P1 – P4 age group, and 4 from P5 – P7 age group) will win a place, along with the 3 best designs from children attending primary schools outside the local area.
    Hopefully we'll see some winners from King's Park Primary School.

     

    Children must be available to be at Mourneview Park on Tuesday 26 December at 2pm, have a home kit comprising of blue top, white shorts and blue socks, and must be accompanied by a parent/guardian.

  • Parents Evening and Open Night

    Parents Evening and Open Night will be held on Thursday 7th December starting at 7.00pm. All parents, friends and prospective parents are warmly invited. The evening will begin at 7.00pm in the Assembly Hall with a welcome by Mr Shields followed by a musical item.

     

    All classrooms and the nursery building will be open and refreshments will be available in the dining hall. Parents are asked to remember that in the interests of safety, parking within the school grounds is not permitted. Children should not attend the evening event unless they are performing.

     

    The Open Night Programme will be sent home prior to the 7th Dec.

    Nursery Afternoon The nursery building will be open on Thursday 7th December from 2pm to 4pm for all parents and prospective parents to visit. Children may also attend with their parents.

  • Cross Country Round Two results

    Congratulations to both Girls' and Boys' Teams in their respective races, held at Palace Stables Armagh,on Friday 1st December.

    The girls ran out clear winners by a margin of 46 points and the boys were joint first with Bocombra PS having a total of 53 points a piece.

    The final round of the league is due to be held on Friday 19th January at Banbridge Academy.

     

    Special mention must go to Ellie Cousins who came first, Kate Holmes and Kayleigh Brown who came third and fourth respectively. Joel Todd finished third in the boy's race.

     

    The Fun Run was again well represented by Kings Park with Alex Dillon, Matthew Lamont, Leah Balfour, Caitlin McCarter and Ellie McCarter all winning medals.

    Supporting King’s Park – 2018 Calendar

    Calendars can still be purchased by sending £1.50 in to your child’s class teacher. There will be a prize for the most original and creative pictures produced within each Key Stage and Nursery.

Top
