  • FOOTBALL SUCCESS!

    Congratulations to the King's Park football teams who both went undefeated and won their groups on Friday 24th in the Mid Ulster Schools competition.

     

     

  • Cross Country

    Boys’ Team,  Girls’ Team and Fun Runners attended a competition at Portadown College on Friday 17th November.

     

    Both Boys’ and Girls’ teams won their races and King’s Park won overall top school.

    Congratulations to Lucia McMullen 1st place, Bella McMullen 2nd place, Hannah Mooney 3rd place and Connie Kinkead 6th place in the Girls’ race and to Mikolaj Matyjas 3rd place and Noah Myers 6th place in the Boys’ race. Also, to Jenson Dodson and Henry Foster who came second and 3rd in the Fun Run respectively.

     

    Round 2 of the Flahavans’ League will be held on Friday 1st December in Lurgan Park. Racing starts at 11am.

  • Cross Country

    King's Park Cross Country Teams took part in Round 1 of the Primary Schools' league on a sodden wet Friday morning at Portadown Rugby Club. 

     

    The Girls team ran out overall winners by a large margin with all 6 runners coming in the top 9 out of a field of 79. Lucia McMullen won the race with Hannah Mooney coming in 2nd. Rebecca Graham was 5th, Bella McMullen 7th, Maisie-Jane Brown 8th and Connie Kinkead 9th. 

     

    The Boys' team ran in second with our top runner Zack McCombe running in 5th,Noah Myers running in 14th,   Noah Cherry 16th, Mikolaj Matyjas 19th, Sam Brown 25th and Simon McShane 25th out of a field of 76.

     

    The Fun Run was well represented with Poppy Cloughly coming in 3rd in the Girls' Run and Igors Polovinka coming in 7th  and 9th  respectively out of a field of 71. Others were well placed too with Connie Cousins coming in 6th, Elsie Firth 7th, Abigail Martin 8th, Emmy Patterson 12th, Daisy Gordon 14th and Beth Woods 15th. In the Boys, Theo Armstrong ran in 8th, Alfie Guy 11th, Abdul Jabbar 22nd, Jenson Dodson 25th and Joshua Hall 31st.

    Today marks the beginning of Parenting Week led by Parenting NI. It is a week celebrated in October each year to recognize and celebrate all those in a parenting role.

It encourages parents and communities to celebrate the strengths, resilience, and dedication of parents, as the backbone of families and communities.

    PARENTLINE NI LIVE - ARE VISITING KING'S PARK!

     

    You are invited to a PARENTLINE NI EVENT IN KING'S PARK PRIMARY SCHOOL.

    WHEN Wednesday 27th September 2023 at 2.00pm-3.00pm

    WHERE: In the school Assembly Hall

    WHY:     This is an information session for parents and carers to hear about the support services available from Parentline NI and details of useful resources.

     

    EVERYONE WILL BE VERY WELCOME. Tea/coffee will be available.

    Michael Askew won the Taekwondo World Championships during the summer after winning all 4 of his fights.   This is an amazing achievement and we are very proud of him!

    Huge congratulations to Steven Gill who won the WKO World Kickboxing Championships in the under 35kg section.   The competition was held during the summer and Steven won 6 out of 8 of his fights.    This is an amazing achievement and we wish him all the best for future competitions.

    We had some wonderful exhibits of handwriting, art and crafts.  Below are the P3 and P4 winners, including Jasmine Ogle who won a trophy for the pupil with the most points in a Primary School!
