Welcome to latest news
Primary 7 classes spent an enjoyable morning exploring Brownlow House in the capable hands of Mr David Martin. David is an expert on not only Brownlow House itself but on the history of Lurgan. It was an excellent morning well spent in the most beautiful of settings.
Thanks David for taking the time to share your vast knowledge in such an entertaining way.

Congratulations to Christopher Heasley and Caleb King winners of the penalty kick competition on Fête night .Preliminary rounds were taken with Johnny Tuffey from Glenavon in goals so it was no mean feat to score three out of three
The final round was sudden death with Tuffey unable to deal with the pressure of such an occasion and relinquishing the duty to our own Mr Forbes.
Caleb King P7 won the Primary category in style opting to go straight down to the middle with Mr Forbes saying that the winning penalty 'nearly took my head off''
Christopher Heasley kept a cool head to win the senior category
A big thanks to Johnny Tuffey for giving up his evening. The kids loved the opportunity to have a go at their team"s goalkeeper
This year we are hoping to promote the sporting achievements of all our pupils. The children will take part in a variety of events.
Due to the popularity of Sports Day there will be limited seating. You are therefore encouraged to bring along your own chairs or rug. Activities will take place on the MUGA pitch, hockey pitch. You can watch your child at all the activities but please try to remain outside the coned off competitive areas.
There will be an ice-cream van. Pupils can purchase an ice-cream at the cost of 50p. (Money should be forwarded to the child’s class teacher before Sport Day)
Weather permitting Sports Day will take place as follows:
Nursery - Monday 4th June - 10.30am to 12 noon on the MUGA Pitch
P1 – P3 - Tuesday 5th June - 10am to 12 noon (approx.)
P4 - P7 - Wednesday 6th June - 10am to 12 noon (approx.)
King’s Park School will be used on the 2nd June to display all the Art and Craft entries; parents and pupils are encouraged to visit the school to view these exhibits.
This year all entries are to be collected at the Show on Saturday 2nd June after 4pm. Prize winners are invited to bring their winning entries back in to school on Monday 4th June (all except the fruit and vegetables entries, as they start to decay).

A group of fifty Primary 7 pupils and five teachers have just returned from the annual school trip to Holland. In a packed itinerary over five days they really enjoyed sampling the culture of another European country. The school party stayed at the Hotel Sea You, a one school hotel, in the coastal resort of Noordwijk which formed the base from which a wide variety of activities and visits were undertaken. The trip provides a tremendous opportunity for pupils to transfer their curriculum knowledge and understanding into practical real life skills. Thankfully the weather was good, food was plentiful, lots of fun was evident and the whole experience will be remembered for years to come. Once again the pupils should be thanked for their excellent behaviour and manners which were commented on from fellow airline passengers, airline crew, coach drivers, shop keepers and hotel owners. Organising the trip for 2019 is now under way so all those pupils interested in Primary 6 keep alert!
