Waves interschool swimming gala 2017
Kings Park Primary School travelled the short distance to Waves swimming pool on Wednesday 17th May to participate in the inter schools swimming Gala. This event has become very popular with ten or more local schools participating. The children were very excited and for many of them it was their first Gala. Well done!
Results:
Hannah Kinloch 2nd P6 Backcrawl.
Grace Cochrane 1st P6 Front crawl.
Aaron Kinkaid 3rd P6 Front Crawl
Leon Ruddy 3rd P7 Front Crawl
Martha McTernaghan/Grace Cochrane/Hannah Kinloch/Emma McGrath 2nd P6 Girls Relay.
Congratulations to a much changed football side, who played together for the first time and finished the tournament as semi-finalists.
After the group stage the boys played group 1 winners Bocombra and defeated them 1-0 in the quarter final.
Next up we played Dickson and despite dominating the game the boys couldn't find the net, rattling the cross bar on several occasions. 0-0 the game ended and penalties were taken. Unfortunately we only scored one of our three penalties but the boys put in a proud performance in difficult circumstances.
The future is bright! Well done to all.
